Student Photo Contest

Field trips, co-ops, study abroad, in the classroom - we want to see what Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences students are up to!

Submit one education-related photo: up to 10 shortlisted photos will win $100; third prize will receive $150; second prize $250; and first prize $400.

Contest closes March 1^st 2012

How to Enter
Email your photo to fasscal@sfu.ca with the subject line “FASS Photo Contest” and your name  (i.e. “FASS Photo Contest: Samantha Smith”). In your email, include: your full name, student number, email address, phone number, and Department or Program.

The Rules

• Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences students may submit one education-related photo per student (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences students only)
• all photos must include a person
• include a brief statement (50-100 words) describing the photo, including name(s), date, company, location, course, etc. 
• no cell phone photos - provide the highest resolution possible so that it can be used for print and web reproduction, and to export photos in .jpeg or .jpg format 

The Fine Print
By submitting your photo to the contest you agree that:

• you are the photographer or have obtained permission to use the photo (if the latter, include the photographer’s name)
• you have permission to take the photo of the selected location and individuals, and have their permission to enter the photo in this contest
• as the photographer, you retain copyright to the photo submitted, but give unlimited and unrestricted permission for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences to use and reproduce the image for free in any media for promotional and/or informational materials
